What is BPCU?

Many have lost their loved ones, some have lost their livelihoods, while teaching and learning is also disrupted; our daily lives are beginning to change according to new norms and many more that we have experienced since March 2020. As a higher education institution who are concerned with the current state of society in distress due to Covid-19, City University (City U) has launched BANTUAN PRIHATIN CITY UNIVERSITY (also known as BPCU). Aimed to alleviate the burden in furthering higher education, BPCU is a financial assistance scheme that allows school leavers to pursue their higher education in City U. With this scheme, NO FEES will be charged to start your studies at the Diploma or Degree level (please refer to the media link below for more information).

  • 1. Who is eligible to receive BPCU?

    SPM & Diploma leavers who are currently not enrolling due to the pandemic & MCO hardships.

  • 2. What does BPCU offer during MCO effective period?

    · No upfront application fees– RM200
    · No upfront registration fees – RM300
    · Waiver of resource fees – RM300 to RM500
    · Waiver of assessment fees – RM25/subject

  • 3. What is the difference between BPCU and other offer?

    BPCU is only valid temporarily during MCO and not valid for other scholarships. If student opt for other offer scholarship, they are not qualified for BPCU.

  • 4. What do I need to prepare?

    · Personal documents with validated result certificates
    · Working computer or laptop for online classes
    · Stable internet connections
    · Focused heart and mind to study
